Black History Month

In October, the world celebrates Black History Month. As part of PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) lessons, our Class 5 children have been exploring the stories of people in the Windrush generation, with an emphasis on St Pauls and how it has shaped our city. Our pupils then learnt about the challenges and racism faced by black Britons as they proceeded through their careers. To build on their knowledge, our pupils were then asked to write about a black person that has inspired them. Below is a beautiful story about Rosa Parks compiled by one of our Class 5 pupils
